Steven Ross Miller

     Steve danced his last dance at his ranch, "The Last Dance" in Dillon Montana. In his final days he was surrounded by love and spent a glorious day under the sunny Montana sky, with music, flowers and family.

     Born in Tremonton, Utah to Boyd Ross and Leone Oyler Miller. The oldest of 11 siblings he enjoyed summers with his grandparents on their ranch in Montana. He played in a variety of sports including football, baseball and track.

     Steve graduated from Bountiful High School, and continued his education at the College of Architecture and Planning in Salt Lake City. He received a license and certification from Penn State University to begin his career as a fire protection specialist. He worked for Delta Fire Systems, Grinnell, and started his own company, Action Fire Protection. His work led him to Hawaii where family and friends traveled to spend time working and playing together.

     Steve was a skilled architect. He designed and built entire homes in Layton, Park Valley, and Montana. He also built many greenhouses, sheds, outbuildings and barns as well as decorative and remodeling projects.

     His final legacy in Montana is his ranch in Dillon MT. where he built homes for himself and his children. His hobbies included all things outdoors; hunting, fishing, prospecting, camping and rock hounding to mention a few. He enjoyed backpacking and traveling to remote areas. He farmed, ranched, and grew flowers and trees. He enjoyed socializing with friends and volunteered with The Elks Club where he had many friends and fun times. He enjoyed plays and concerts and collected paintings from DeGrazia and others.

     On August 25th 1964 Steve married his high school sweetheart, Coy Golightly. They were blessed with five children, April Schryver (Scott), Sonya Frasier (Kurt), Malina Gulbransen, Steven "Bo" Miller (Lisa), and Jeffery Miller (Rachel), 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Coy and son Steven "Bo", his brother Thomas Miller, and Brian Hatch, his grandsons Thomas Ferrin and Lucas Schryver and great grandson James Daniels.

     The remaining 15 years of his life were shared with friend and partner Marilyn "Micki" Adams. They traveled and built homes in Arizona and Montana. They enjoyed their time together and make a great team.

     Steve loved God and believed in the plan of salvation and looked forward to the reunion with his loved ones.

     Memorial services will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary in Farmington Utah. 1941 North Main St. Wed. May 22 nd from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. Interment will follow the services at the East Garland Cemetery in East Garland Utah. Light lunch will follow at East Garland City Park.
