Sally Ann McDonald

December 13, 1969 — March 10, 2026

Sally Ann McDonald of Glen, Montana

Sally was born on December 13, 1969. She passed away at age 56 on March 10, 2026. Sally & her twin sister Susy were born prematurely at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington to Janice & Jerry Meier. They were tiny little babies and were not released from the hospital right away. Their three sisters anxiously waited for the twins to join them at their home in Kirkland, Washington. Susy came home on Christmas Eve & Sally came home in January 1970.

Sally graduated from Forest Grove High School in Oregon in 1988. She landed her first job as a meat packer. Throughout her career in the grocery industry, Sally worked as both a meat packer or baker; wherever a position may present itself. She was an extremely hard worker with the hustle and confidence to master two skill sets. Sally baked and decorated an absolutely stunning four-tier wedding cake for her twin sister Susy and Matt's wedding.

Sally was preceded in death by her mother, Janice James. She is survived by her Daughter: Holly McDonald and Holly's Dad: Robert Holt. They called the Big Hole Valley in Montana home the last fifteen years after traveling around the PNW a bit including a stint in Japan. Sally will be missed by her Dad: Jerry Meier, Stepmom: Pat Steinfeld, Sisters & Brother-in-laws: Shelley & Roger Marley, Cheryl & Ken Seaton, Kris & Rodney Brown, & Susy & Matt Michel, Nieces & Nephews: Kassie, Travis, Angela, Morgan, Caitlin, Luke, Ashby, Sam & Lilly, Stepsons: Bobby, Mac, & Johnny, Uncle Denny, Aunt Laurie & Cousins, Heather & Melissa & Families.

Sally enjoyed four-wheeling on her quad with her dogs trailing closely behind, collecting rocks, sunbathing and looking for Bigfoot. She loved her dogs Dum Dum, Papa, Bullet and Heidi to name a few. We called her Silly Sally because she would just come up with the most random observations and make us all laugh. When she was younger, she did cartwheels nearly everywhere she went and treasured her time on the school gymnastics team with Kris & Susy as teammates and Shelley was the Assistant Coach. Sally was wiry & tough as nails, protective of her family to the core and nicknamed Wonder Woman by Uncle Larry. Sally's steadfast family love and devotion will always be deeply cherished. She was truly a diamond in the rough. Rest In Peace sweet angel.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Brundage Funeral Home, 300 S. Atlantic in Dillon, Montana on March 27, 2026 at 1pm. Please join us in remembering Sally & sharing stories.
