LaVerne Bradley

March 19, 1929 — December 4, 2021

LaVerne Poole Bradley, age 92 left this Earth to be united with her Lord and Savior on December 4, 2021. LaVerne was strong, resilient, brilliant, beautiful inside and out, poised, loving, steadfast, and an overall incredible model of a woman of integrity who put God and her family above all else. Her wisdom and loving presence will be dearly missed. LaVerne was born on March 19, 1929 to Mack and Carolyn Poole in Dillon, MT. She grew up in the Glen and Melrose Valleys and attended Reichle School and Melrose School in her younger years. In her teenage years, she attended Beaverhead County High School and Salmon High School before graduating from Pocatello High School in 1946. After high school, LaVerne worked at Idaho Refining Company. Here she met Larry Bradley. The two married on May 13, 1949 in Pocatello, ID. The couple lived in Dillon, Butte, and Pocatello before settling down on her family ranch in Glen, MT. Here they raised their two children, Kathy Jo and David. Larry and LaVerne worked on the family ranch and hauled grain until their retirement in 1995 when they moved to Dillon, MT. LaVerne lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and servant of the Lord. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, book studies, playing the piano, baking, needlepointing, playing cards, tending to her flower garden and raspberry bushes, attending community arts events and attending church functions. She especially loved reading to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. LaVerne was known for her beautiful decorated cakes and knitted sweaters. She also enjoyed many years on the Glen Ranchettes bowling team. LaVerne’s love of the Lord was deep and abiding. She taught bible studies for over 50 years to anyone who desired to learn about and have a relationship with the Lord. LaVerne is preceded in death by her husband Larry Bradley; sister Betty Jo Poole; mother Carolyn Verbance Poole; father Mack Poole; and granddaughters Gwendolyn Doner and Vanessa Myers.
