Jazz was a fighter from the beginning when she joined our family 2 months early on May 27th, 1996, in Salt Lake City, UT to Mandy Lyon and Tracy Streight. Jazz left our family way too early when she lost her fight with cancer on Feb 19th, 2026. She gave the fight of her life and never gave up hope that she would win. She often said, "this too shall pass!"
For the first five years of her life, she grew up in Dillon, MT where her best friends were her two cousins, Kelsey and Kiley.
Then she moved to Ennis, MT and began a new adventure and graduated from High school class of 2015. She met two very important people that became like sisters when she was in first grade. The bond she made with Katie Schabarker was meant to last a lifetime, right up until she left us. Her other sister like bond was with Mickayla Yochim, they grew up next door to each other for a few years and stayed close thru high school and reconnected recently.
Jazz was blessed with other close friends and lucky enough to be in a class that truly loved each other from the beginning of the school journey through graduation and beyond.
When Jazz was 9 years old, she started another fight she would win. She lit herself on fire, got life-flighted to Salt Lake City, where she spent 14 days and 15 nights at the burn center at U of U. Jazz Fought hard to get better so she would be released in time to go see Blue Oyster Colt perform the song Godzilla at Rock in the Rivers. She always said getting burned gave her the self-esteem she always wished she had. One of her favorite things to do each summer was to go to burn camp. Her most memorable high school experience was going to Salt Lake City and seeing Big Time Rush in concert.
After graduation Jazz became a mom to Sophia and being Sophia's mom was what Jazz was meant to be. In 2020, Jazz moved to Whitehall, MT to be closer to her mom. In 2021 Jazz welcomed her second child Lincoln into her family. Lincoln truly completed her family.
Jazz was funny, even if something wasn't funny, she could make you laugh. If you were lucky enough to be part of her tribe she loved, you are wholehearted and unconditionally.
Jazz is survived by her Children Sophia and Lincoln Parton; dog Meeko; half-sister Cameo Streight; Stepsister Tonnie Lyon; mother Mandy Lyon; father Tracy Streight; great grandpa Fred Mcninch; Aunts Shawna (Clyde) Bellis, Lori Ford, Melody Padilla; Uncle Mark Ford; Cousins; Kelsey Smith, Kiley (Dalton) Loney, Tristen Renner, Levi Bellis, Ellamay Bellis, WD (Jean) Robinson, Jill (Rich) Ence, and Michael (Jenita) Culton; best friend Katie Schabarker; and many friends that became family.
Jazz is preceded in death by her Great Grandparents Don and Mary Colten; Grandparents Nannie Connie Coon, Laurie Coon Valerie Streight; Uncles Randy Ford and Larry Coon; Sister Kidisha Streight.
