Jacob "Jack" Lester Schield passed away peacefully on March 19 th , 2024. Jack was born on July 18th,1941, in Billings, MT, to Jack and Elizabeth Schield. Jack grew up in Billings, Montana and graduated from Billings Senior. He attended the University of Montana and was named "Bull of the Woods" at the Foresters Ball. He graduated with a degree in Forestry in 1964. He married the love of his life, LuLu "Lou" Belle Newman on May 14, 1968. Jack served in the National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Miles City (MT), Kemmerer (WY), before settling with his family in Dillon, MT. After a long career with the BLM, he started a successful landscaping company that kept his summer days very busy.

Jack had many interests throughout his life. He loved the outdoors and never passed a chance to go fishing, camping, and hunting. He loved the family animals, be it horses, pigs, sheep, rabbits, cats, and dogs. He always loved going to the rodeo be it a local one or the NFR and PBR. A graduate of the University of Montana, he was passionate for his Montana Grizzlies and attended many Lady Griz and Men Griz basketball games along with football games. More importantly, he loved to rib any fan of the Bobcats.

Jack is survived by his wife Lou, daughter Natalie Aguilar, son Scott (Pamela), brothers Ken (Joan) and Tim (Sue) and grand-daughter Addison Aguilar. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Elizabeth.

Per his wishes, no funeral or service will be held, and his ashes will be spread in Yellowstone National Park.
