Frances (Fran) J. Zeman, Age 77. of Dillon Montana passed away on June 15th, 2024 in Butte Montana.

Fran was born on September 24, 1947 in Wilmington Delaware to Frances (Frank) and Louise Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter Cheri Fennell, of Maine, 6 grandchildren, Tony Rose (Morgan) of Virginia, Audria Nickerson (Damien) of Maine, Cecily Rose (Haze), of Colorado, Evelyn, Meara and Ben Fennell of Maine. 8 great grand children, Sophia, Francine, Willow, Oliver, Jasper, Quinton, Jeremiah, and Wesley. Her sister Virginia Robinson, of Delaware, nieces and nephews Sheppard Robinson, Irene Hollis, Aaron Hollis and Theo Hollis of Delaware, great niece Stephanie Rouwhorst and her son Donald West. She is proceeded in death by her parents Frances Sheppard Robinson and Louise Hermoine VanAndenhove, niece Michelle Robinson, nephew Harroll Robinson and great grand daughter Della Rae Nickerson.

After graduating from high school she married her highschool sweetheart William (Billy) McCool. They had one daughter together. Fran was a stay at home mother until her daughter attended school. She and her husband were adventurous and moved the family to Montana in 1976. She worked as a legal secretary to the district attorney in Missoula, then worked as the office manager at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Missoula for many years, she was the head of the safety department at Rail Link in Missoula until she moved to Idaho for several years. She moved back to Dillon Montana to live near her family.

She was an animal lover, and always had beloved dogs and cats in her life. She raised rabbits and was the secretary of the Garden City rabbit club in Missoula for many years.

Fran was an incredible cook. She loved canning, baking bread and making giant pots of soup. She loved crocheting gifts for her family, watching football and talking politics. She was an avid gardener, a top bowler on her league, a word smith and a poet. She was smart and funny and will be forever be missed by her family.
