Elizabeth D Mancoronal

December 9, 1927 — May 10, 2026

Dillon

Elizabeth (Betty) Mancoronal, 98, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, with her family and friends by her side. Betty was born on December 9, 1927, in Choteau, MT to Casey and Jenny Dane. She grew up on her parents' farm near Depuyer, MT and attended school in Valier, MT. She loved playing the accordion and the mouth harp. As a teenager, Betty, her brother John, and her father Casey played at dances. Betty met Morris O. Mancoronal Jr. in Choteau, MT and helped him operate a restaurant he owned. She married Morris in 1947, and they moved to her father's farm in Depuyer, MT. In 1948, Betty and Morris had their son William (Bill). In 1951 Betty and Morris purchased and moved to a farm East of Conrad, MT. There they raised sheep and later irrigated and raised various grain crops. After Morris passed in 2014 Betty and her two cats moved to Dillon, MT to live with her son Bill and daughter-in-law Roxi. Betty left many good friends behind in Conrad where she loved to play cards and travel around with her best friend Bonnie. However, it did not take long to make many new friends in Dillon. She became very close to Veeta Alley who took her on all sorts of excursions to see the wildlife she loved so much and not to mention the trips to see Veeta's brother Bill and eat his homemade cinnamon rolls. She attended the Senior Center where she was loved by many. Betty and her good friend Elaine Monday sat for hours and laughed about how they had fond and some not-so-fond memories of raising sheep and other livestock. Every Friday she had her hair appointment with Karen O'Conner whom she adored. There are too many people to mention that were special to Betty. She always enjoyed the special occasions and visits with her grandsons and their extended families. The birthday and holiday phone calls from her brother Cornelius (Corny) Dane were especially meaningful to her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Mother, Jenny Dane; Father, Casey Dane; Brother, John Dane; Sister, Mary Dane; and her loving husband of 67 years, Morris O. Mancoronal Jr.

Betty is survived by her Son, William (Roxanne) Mancoronal; Grandson, Jason (Kim) Mancoronal; Grandson Justin (Adrianne) Mancoronal; Five Great Grandchildren, Rachel, Amber, Brandon, Payton, Bentley; Three Great, Great Grandchildren Spencer, Ryley, Syler; Brother Cornelius Dane; Nephew, Tom Dane; Nephew Shawn Dane; and many cousins. We can't forget Betty's cat Zack.

The family would also like to give special thanks to Danielle Beck FNP-C; ER Dr. Robert Redwood and the entire staff of Barrett Hospital that cared for Betty. You are all wonderful and took great care of her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be given to Beaverhead Senior Citizen Inc. in Dillon, or Pondera County Senior Citizens Center in Conrad.
