Darlene Marie Conklin Rose was born to Alvaretta Pauline Hand and Earl Lincoln Conklin, the baby sister to Barbara and Earl.

Darlene grew up in Argenta and Dillon Montana, living her whole life in Beaverhead County.

She worked many different jobs throughout her life but was a longtime waitress at the State Dining Room and Crosswinds in Dillon.

Mom didn't always have it easy, but she always managed and enjoyed the little things in life that made her happy. Mom enjoyed getting to go out to dinner and loved a good chicken fried steak. She always looked forward to Bannack Days, the Demolition Derby and the Labor Day Fair and Rodeo. She especially loved her summer trips to Idaho to spend time with her cherished big sis. She was so happy to be a red hat lady and always looked forward to her lunches and card playing at the Senior center. Mom was a night owl and enjoyed staying up late and watching old movies and TV shows and napping during the day. She loved making popcorn balls with her grandkids and cream puffs for Easter and treasured all Holidays she could spend with her family.

Darlene was blessed with 6 children, 16 grand kids and 23 great grand kids. She is survived by daughter Cheryll (Chuck) McCloskey, Son Scott Rose, daughter Connie (Chris) Martinez, son Mark (Patty) Rose, daughter Colleen (Neal) Davis, brother Earl (Jean) Conklin, Aunt Louise Shafer, and numerous other family members and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her father Earl Conklin, dear mother and stepfather Alvaretta and Lee James, Son Steve Rose, Sister Barbara Smith, infant great granddaughter Elena Lizette Millan and many other family members and friends to greet her home.

In lieu of services, ashes will be spread with family at a later date. If you wish to give a memorial in her name, please do so to Beaverhead Senior Citizens Association.
