Marianne Kinzel

Marianne Kinzel passed away on September 5th, 2019.   She was born in Dillon, MT on May 6th, 1936.  She had 8 siblings, one being her twin sister Lu.  She graduated from Beaverhead County High School. After high school Marianne moved to Oregon, then to Glendale, California to work as a nanny.  While she was in California she got a job as a seamstress for a company that made robes for churches and for high schools graduation. This is where she met her husband Herb Kinzel.   After Herb passed away she moved back to Dillon to be with family here. Her mother Lena Sorenson passed away and she moved back to Oregon to be a nanny for a few years then moved to Hamilton, MT to be near family.  In 2000 she moved back to Dillon to be near family and friends.Marianne loved cats and always had a cat or two with character.  She liked to sew, crochet, and do plastic canvas crafts.  She had no children of her own but she took care of many of her nieces and nephews and was like a mother to them.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.She is preceded in death by her husband Herb Kinzel; parents Lena and Soren Sorenson; three brothers,Albert, David and Elmer.  She is survived by brothers Slim, Lester, Alan and two sisters Luana and Betty.There will be a gathering planned for later.
