Kathleen Tayne

Kathleen Grace Tayne passed away quietly on March 5, 2016 in Dillon Montana. Kathleen, Kitty, was born on June 20, 1948 to William and Leone Tayne in Dillon. Kitty graduated with honors from Beaverhead County High then graduated from Western Montana College with a degree in Education, majoring in art and English. She later received her Master of Art emphasizing water color. Kitty taught high school art and English in Dodson, Hamilton, and Gardner. She then returned to Dillon and lived pursuing her passion for art and gardening. She showed water colors in local galleries, and enjoyed working with other artists in the community. She was an active member of the Dillon Garden Club. She loved photography, flowers, Bannock, museums, and Christmas, often leaving her Christmas tree up until March. She is survived by her beloved cat Marble, her brother Tim, sister-in-law Laura, and nephews Adrian and Andrew and many loving friends. Services will be at St. James Episcopal Church on Friday March 10 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers and gifts memorials may be made to the Garden Club or the Dillon Humane Society.
