Henry Hugulet

Henry Louis Hugulet, ‘Hank’, passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2022. He was born October 7, 1944 in Townsend, Montana to Walter Mack and Edith Gladys Hugulet. Hank and his family moved to Dillon in 1953. He attended Beaverhead Highschool. Hank married his highschool sweetheart, Linda Stocks and they shared their lives for 17 years bringing three creative children into the world. Montana was at the heart of his life and he passed along a passion for the outdoors to his children. He loved to fish, hike, hunt, photograph, camp and pack into mountain lakes on his horses. Hank enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies of Montana. You would often see Hank rambling about on the trails and dirt roads of Montana on adventures with his family. Most outings included picnics with panoramic views after surviving bumpy roads and even ‘duck tree events’. Hank was a gifted equipment (dragline) operator, he ran and operated Hugulet Contstruction, INC. with his dad, Walter. He built ponds, constructed bridges, dug ditches and crafted canals on ranches throughout southwestern Montana. A life long learner, Hank attended Western Montana College throughout his lifetime. Later in life Hank worked for the state of Montana as a crane operator instructor licensing many of the crane operators scattered throughout the state of Montana. He is preceded in death by his dad, Walter Mack Hugulet, mom, Edith Gladys Warren-Hugulet, and brother, William Leroy Hugulet. Hank is survived by his children Tami Lee Hugulet, partner Laurie Martin and Granddaughter Marguerite, daughter Michele Rene’ Hugulet, and son Michael Henry Hugulet. Sister-in-law Kenna Hugulet, nephew Lance Hugulet, niece Cindy ‘Hugulet’ Mitchell and great nephew Drew Spanner, nephew, Ken Hugulet, great niece and nephew, Kenzie and Keara. Family and close friends will gather in celebration of Hank’s life during July of 2022.
