Gloria Olive Seyler 1924-2020 Gloria Seyler, 95, passed away on February 2, 2020 at Barrett Hospital and Healthcare. She was born on September 24, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of James and Hannah McLaughlin. Gloria attended school in Melrose and Bannack in her younger years and later graduated from Twin Bridges High School, class of 1943. Following graduation, she married Budd Seyler on July 17, 1943 and they settled in the town of Twin Bridges. They soon moved out of town to work with Budd’s parents, William and Beatrice Seyler, on the family ranch. Gloria was a member of Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors of America. Gloria loved gardening and especially growing flowers. Noted for her beautiful sweet peas, a visit to her home always began with a walk and talk while looking at the flowers in her yard. She also loved music and reading and could bake the very best apple and cherry pies. Most of all, Gloria deeply loved her family. Gloria is survived by her sons Glenn and Gerald, daughter Joan (Norm) Wicks, daughter Susan (Scott) Jones, brother Joe (Carol) McLaughlin, and sister-in-law Hope Mommer; grandchildren Stacy (Mike) Woodhouse, Kim (Josh) Ehrlich, Terri (Zack) Medina, Coley Jones, and Brooke (Jake) Riggs; great grandchildren Sunny, Colin and Trevor Woodhouse, Presten, Hartlie and Seyler Ehrlich, Emeri and Cruz Medina, and Cypress Riggs. She also has many beloved nieces, nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Budd, and her parents. She was also preceded in death by brothers Jimmy, Carl and Don McLaughlin and sister, Norma Steiner. Visitation for Gloria will be held from 12-1 pm, followed by services at 1 pm at Brundage Funeral Home on Monday, February 10 in Dillon, MT. Graveside services will be at the Twin Bridges Cemetery following the service. Gifts in Gloria’s memory may be made to the Twin Bridges Alumni Association scholarship fund (PO Box 142, Twin Bridges, MT 59754) or the Twin Bridges Historical Museum.
