Dean Grow

Dean Alan Grow passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 peacefully at his mountain home near Dillon at the age of 64. He was born on April 4, 1952 in Osage City, Kansas to Donald E. and Florence Grow. He was raised and educated in Osage City, graduating from Osage City High School in 1970. Dean was a carpenter by trade and moved to Oregon as a young man where he built many houses. He married and later moved to Montana in the late 70’s where he continued carpentry and worked as a cowboy on many ranches. Dean recently retired to the land he purchased near Dillon where he planned on building his dream home. Dean enjoyed his horses, reading, whittling, playing guitar and drums. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother, Donald P. Grow. He is survived by his son Alan Grow of Hood River, Oregon, his sister Mary (Jon) Rappard of Rockport, Texas and by his niece Paula (Dan Childress) Grow of Dayton, Ohio, his beloved horse Soldier Boy and his dog General Lee.
