Alden (Bill) Hartwig

Alden W (Bill) Hartwig Bill Hartwig passed away February, 2 2022 at 85 years old. Bill was born November, 19 1936 in Dillon, MT. A premature baby by a month, Bill did not come home right away and spent nearly a month in an incubator. He attended Reichle school in Glen, MT and attended high school in Dillon, MT. Bill joined the Navy in 1955 where he served four years in the service in Guam. He spent his years after the service working various jobs on different ranches as well as working on the railroad. He was always quick with a joke and had a genuinely warm spirit. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Isabella Mast and Julius Fredrick Hartwig, son-in-law Marvin Craddock, brother Carl Julius Hartwig, and Elva Hartwig. He is survived by his brother Kenneth Hartwig, children Jim Hartwig, Rance & Loma Holt, Darrell & Cindy Smith, Phil & Barbara Hayden, and Jason Hartwig as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins. There will be a celebration of life in the spring of 2022.
